Meals On Wheels of Tampa will be hosting their inaugural Meals On Wheels 5K & Fun Run Music Fest on Saturday, February 3rd, along the Tampa Riverwalk.  The event will start and finish at the Tampa Preparatory baseball fields, located at 727 W Cass Street, Tampa.  To sign up to run/walk, visit: https://www.athlinks.com/event/221126

The Meals On Wheels High School Leadership Board (HSLB) is presenting this event to raise awareness of senior hunger in Tampa and to collect funds to be able to purchase an emergency safety kit, which will include a radio and flashlight, for over 800 senior and homebound neighbors served each day. The event was developed in direct response to Hurricane Irma and its effects on our seniors and homebound neighbors, as many did not have power for days. 5K: Enjoy a scenic run around the Tampa River Walk. The beautiful river and scenery of the city will surely impress all! Start time: 10am

1 Mile Fun Run: For those that are just starting out or want to walk as a family.  Start time: 11am

Post Race: Awards will be given out to the top three finishers in each gender and age bracket for the 5K. Start time: 11:30am

Music Fest: Stay for the music festival after the awards to enjoy local sounds from our communities’ youth!

The 5K and 1 mile fun run//walk will take place on the Tampa Riverwalk (Downtown).

Race parking and start/finish line is at Tampa Preparatory School (727 W Cass Street, Tampa, FL 33606).

Fees/Admission:

Registration is $10 for the 1 mile fun run and $20 for the  5K,  which includes a t-shirt.  Groups of 10 people receive a  reduced  registration price of $150 for the entire group, or $10/person.
