We think West Tampa’s real estate values are the best in the region, and with gasoline costs and commute times soaring, they will only get better. On the residential side, builders such as InTown Homes and Castillo Homes are infusing new life into neighborhoods, street by street, while the West End project is transforming a large swath of West Tampa next to University of Tampa from a struggling industrial area to a new urban village.
Commercial development is bustling as well. Intelident Solutions, the parent company of Coast Dental, is relocating their corporate headquarters to West Tampa. Jammal Engineering is completing the historic rehabilitation at I-275 and Howard while Heritage Square at the Armory is poised to transform the heart of West Tampa with a sweeping and stunning mixed-use project on the grounds of the former Ft. Homer Hesterly Armory. New offices buildings and complexes are marching up Howard and Armenia and new retail is blossoming on Columbus. Medical office development continues its forward pace around the St. Joseph Hospital medical complex.
